Artist's Voice:
"While my undergraduate degree is in Commerce, I have always identified myself as an artist. Subsequently, I have presented my work in several small venues. Most notably, I presented at Galerie Metanoia in Paris, and the Delhi Lalit Kala Academy.
Art is an avenue for me to stay creative and connected which is why I try to paint the inside out. I embrace my zeal to unravel the marvelous connect that we all have with ourselves and the world. There is a continuous need to search deeper within myself, which has led me through a wonderful journey of self-expression and finding my reality beyond what society or circumstances impose. I do not paint what I see, but what I feel. Sometimes, I use my fingers to paint. It helps me connect better with my artwork. There is no specific method that I deploy to this apparent madness on canvas. I am led by the language of my paints, of my own pains, of the process of painting, and everything else in between. For me, it is not about how a thing ought to be, or the manner in which it ought to be done, my entire focus is on my emotions and that they are led astray on the canvas - free-flowing agents unbridled by my control, alive on the canvas, living outside of me. I have been working upon a series of figurative artworks in which the figures have no given identity. They belong to no particular class, profession, or have any existing historical significance. Instead, the figures act as signs in the paintings creating a language in relation to its audience where they can risk feeling the painting in the most genuine way they can. There is abject beauty and sublime pain in every last one of us. I want my paintings to reflect the enchantment, the inexplicable, the nuances of unrecognized splendor in each one of us through my work."
